- Writing Reflection for Analytical Writing: This is an assignment that I created and use for my own students to help them reflect on their analytical processes. At the end of the year, students choose several pieces based on these reflections and their growth to build a portfolio. If students complete an essay in class by hand, I usually ask them to add pictures of each page of the essay to the end of the reflection just in case it gets lost during the year. Here is an example reflection from one of my current seniors. This was the first reflection they completed for the year.
