About Me
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My name is Amy Carter, and I am an ELA educator in South Carolina. Currently, I teach a pre-AP course to English 2 students, as well as AP Literature & Composition to seniors. I hold a BSEd in English Education from the University of Georgia and an M.Ed. in Educational Technology from the University of South Carolina. I am also a National Board certified teacher. You can read a little bit more about me on my teaching website.
PHILOSOPHY ABOUT TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM
I love my job. I love teaching kids how to read, write, listen, and speak. My core belief about TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM is that it should serve at the altar of good teaching and learning. Technology should offer teachers and students a means to valuable resources that expand and sharpen our thinking. With that in mind, it's never about the tools we use but how we use the tools available to teach and learn.

WHY DID I START THIS SITE?
I started it in order to catalog my own best ideas, as well as the valuable links I have found and use in my own classroom. This site is a living (and therefore, evolving) resource for me and anyone else who can benefit from the resources here. Oh, and see that picture there? Yep. That's me. I'm a human and an English teacher who should never ever make copy errors and typos, but alas there's that pesky human part of me under the English teacher superhero costume. Please feel free to contact me with corrections, suggestions, or feedback!
